Madrid: Lucky Loser Altmaier uses an unexpected chance and defeats Otte

With the 6: 4, 7: 5 success, the man from Kempen used his unexpected chance ideally and collected valuable world ranking points in the Spanish capital.
Altmaier had failed in qualifying and then moved into the main draw as a so-called "lucky loser" for Pablo Carreno Busta. He took over the Spaniard's first-round bye and put on a highly concentrated performance against Otte.
In the third round, the former French Open round of 16 awaits a duel with Karlsruher Yannick Hanfmann or Italy's Lorenzo Musetti, who is 15th.
