Naomi Osaka tried again as a designer for a good cause. The two-time Grand Slam winner from Japan, together with her sister, designed protective masks for the children's aid organization UNICEF - including a cartoon motif.

"I saw that everyone in the United States was wearing the same medical mask," said the 22-year-old from Vogue, "and remembered that everyone in Japan was wearing pretty fashionable masks before this whole situation."

The former world number one lives in the USA and has shown her knack for fashion in the past. This year Osaka already presented its debut collection at New York Fashion Week.

How things will continue to be a sport for Osaka is still in the stars: in any case, participation in the WTA tournament in Palermo, which is scheduled to start on August 3, cannot be assumed. It is also unlikely that you will attend the event in Lexington, Kentucky, which was only added to the program a few days ago. At the beginning of the tennis year 2020, Osaka was unable to defend her title at the Australian Open, but failed on lap three to Cori Gauff.
