NextGen Finals: Bye, Milan! Saudi Arabia here we come!
The NextGen Finals are moving: Since the inception of this event, the best U-21 players have always met in Milan. This year the tournament will be held in Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Even if Carlos Alcaraz would theoretically be keen to reach for his second title at the NextGen Finals in Saudi Arabia, the event will probably have to do without the 2022 US Open champion. Alcaraz has completed his next-gen phase and would have started last year in Turin with the "adults" if his injury hadn't prevented him from doing so.
After the attractive start to the season, Holger Rune could also focus on Turin, which means that the current number two in the race to the NextGen Finals is also rather indispensable.
Well. The ATP will have been aware of that when they delegated the tournament from Milan to Saudi Arabia. The ITF (still) shied away from this step - because there was (and maybe still is) the idea of awarding the Davis Cup final round to the Arab region, specifically to Abu Dhabi.
But good: If UEFA seriously considers playing the final of the Champions League in 2026 in the USA, then the ATP is of course free to also orientate itself globally.
