It is well known that Nick Kyrgios likes to criticize his fellow players on social media - ask Novak Djokovic or Alexander Zverev. On Thursday, the Australian caused the next small feud, this time the Norwegian Casper Ruud.

When the ATP tweeted the semi-finalists of the Generali Open Kitzbühel, including Ruud, Kyrgios responded with an emoji in which a person hits his forehead with the flat of his hand. Apparently he wanted to give his assessment of the field of participants. The 26-year-old had already criticized the hosting of European clay court tournaments in the summer .

When the ATP posted a tweet a little later, under which the fans could ask a question to Kyrgios, Ruud spoke up: "What is his favorite clay court tournament?" Wrote the Norwegian. The Australian initially replied with “your mother”, but quickly deleted this comment.

A little later Kyrgios wrote: “Hahahaha, this is timeless. @ CasperRuud98, you are a good player. But we all know that you steal points in these tournaments, haha. " The context: Ruud won the ATP 250 tournaments in Bastad and Gstaad and is now also in the final in Kitzbühel. Kyrgios, on the other hand, was eliminated in Atlanta in the second round - and so far has not received any further response from the 22-year-old.
