Zverev doesn't give Mannarino a chance

Alexander Zverev and Adrian Mannarino have met six times so far - six times the victory went to the Germans. Zverev also had the upper hand in the seventh comparison. After the round of 16 win against Mackenzie McDonald , Zverev gave the French no chance at all. He only needed 24 minutes for the 6:1 in the first set. The 6:0 in the second set lasted a minute longer.

No problems with Mannarino's play style

Mannarino (WRL: 58) is not always easy to handle due to his unusual style of play with a very soft string - he recently knocked out Hubert Hurkacz and Aslan Karatsev at the Australian Open before beating Rafael Nadal in the round of 16. Zverev didn't mind this style of play. He controlled the match at will but also benefited from Mannarino not having a good day, serving five double faults in the first set alone.

Mikael Ymer is now waiting in the semi-finals in Montpellier. In the lower half of the draw, Filip Krajinovic prevailed against Damir Dzumhur and Alexander Bublik against Roberto Bautista Agut, with the Spaniard having to resign.
