London or Turin - Novak Djokovic apparently doesn't care. After his victory at Wimbledon, he will have to do without a second appearance in London this year, the ATP Finals will finally take place in Turin for the first time in 2021. And the Djoker is already there for sure. /

He has already made 7,010 points this year, 6,000 of them through his victories in Melbourne, Paris and Wimbledon. And that's enough to be sure to be part of the unofficial tennis world championship at the end of the season.

Behind? Stefanos Tsitsipas played himself in a good starting position, the winner from 2019 has 4,510 points. Matteo Berrettini, Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev, defending champion Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal and Hubert Hurkacz would, as of now, be at the start in Turin.

ATP Race to Turin: Thiem and Federer still have to catch up

Two other regular participants, on the other hand, still have to score a lot if the flight to Turin turns out to be something: Dominic Thiem, who is currently only ranked 34th in the race . And Roger Federer, currently only listed at position 41. While Thiem was in the final of the last two editions, Federer has already won the season-end tournament six times.

Djokovic, however, will probably have other goals as high priority this year. Thanks to his victories in the three previous majors, he has a great chance of the "real" Grand Slam. Should he also win the US Open, he would be the first male professional since Rod Laver in 1969 to do so. Should Djokovic also win a golden individual medal at the Olympic Games, he could even win the Golden Slam - so far only Steffi Graf had succeeded in 1988.

Djokovic was hesitant to start in Tokyo on Sunday at Wimbledon.
