Will go their separate ways in the future: Novak Djokovic and Marian Vajda

Marian Vajda, one of the most decorated coaches in tennis history, is no longer part of Novak Djokovic's team. The Slovakian coach has not been seen alongside Djokovic in either Melbourne or Dubai since the start of the season. At the beginning of the year he defended his protégé in a lengthy interview in relation to the entry drama before the Australian Open. Sasa Ozmo added via Twitter that the breakup had nothing to do with this rocky start to 2022, however.

The rest of the team remains unchanged

In mid-2019, Goran Ivanisevic was brought into Djokovic's team, so Vajda has rarely accompanied him to tournaments since then. Vajda, who will soon be 57, said at the time he wanted to spend more time with his family. The rest of Djokovic's team remains the same - coach Ivanisevic, physiotherapists Ulises Badio and Miljan Amanovic, and fitness coach Marco Panichi.

Vajda has been an integral part of the Serb's life for more than 15 years. The cooperation began before Roland Garros 2006 and has always been maintained, apart from a short interruption. Vajda has been involved in every single one of Djokovic's 20 Grand Slam titles.
