Novak Djokovic will probably miss the Sunshine Double in 2023 as well

After the entry requirements for non-US citizens are still valid until the beginning of April, Novak Djokovic will probably not be able to play in Indian Wells or Miami this year either.

Let's not fool ourselves: every ATP Masters 1000 tournament in which Novak Djokovic does not start loses its sporting value. And quite a lot. And especially on hard court. As it looks now, like last year, Djokovic will not be able to compete in Indian Wells or Miami due to the lack of vaccination against the corona virus.

As it became known on Thursday, the regulation according to which non-US citizens must be fully vaccinated when entering the USA has been extended until at least April 10, 2023. Djokovic commented on the news pragmatically after his quarter-finals entry in Adelaide.

"Well, if it's official, then so be it. I mean what can I do?” Djokovic explained. "Nothing. You know my position. It is like it is. I hope I can participate. But if not, then not.”
