Dominic Thiem and Thomas Muster go their separate ways

It was the big topic of conversation after Dominic Thiem's victory over Taylor Fritz: where was neo-coach Thomas Muster? The former world number one was not there in training on Friday or in the match against the American. In the first two games against Adrian Mannarino and Alex Bolt, Muster was still in the box of the 26-year-old Lichtenwörther.

In the on-court interview as well as in the conversation with ServusTV, the absence of Pattern was initially not addressed. After the ATP Cup, Muster and Thiem announced that they wanted to work together for 20 weeks a year .

In the press conference, however, Thiem confirmed speculations about a possible end to the collaboration. It just didn't fit, said Thiem. "It is only about work. We get on very well personally and said from the start that we would tell each other if something was wrong," said the 26-year-old wieter.

From now on, the Austrian will again only be looked after by Nicolas Massu.
