The organizers announced this on Tuesday. "I heard from other players that the tournament is super nice. I love lawn tournaments," said the world number 14. and spoke of an "extreme Wimbledon flair".
Bencic wants to get in the mood for the Grand Slam tournament in the All England Club (June 27th to July 10th) in Bad Homburg. In addition to the 25-year-old, former world number one Angelique Kerber (Kiel) and Andrea Petkovic (Darmstadt) are among the participants. Kerber won the premiere of the tournament, where she herself is an ambassador, last year.
