Who will play in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix?

As usual, the absolute top of the world will be at the WTA tournament in Stuttgart! The field is led by world number one Ashleigh Barty, who is serving at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix for the first time. /

Behind them are Simona Halep, Sofia Kenin, Elina Svitolina, Aryna Sabalenka, Karolina Pliskova ... and from a German perspective: Angelique Kerber , winner 2015 and 2016, Laura Siegemund, winner 2017, and Andrea Petkovic.

Nastasja Schunk , Julia Middendorf, Anna-Lena Friedsam and Mona Barthel also made it into the main field through qualification!

Who is the defending champion?

Petra Kvitova - she won the final against Anett Kontaveit in 2019. In 2020 the tournament was canceled due to the corona pandemic.

Is there already a draw?

Yes - and as always, the WTA 500 tournament has it all right from the start! As tournament director Markus Günthardt always says: The first round in Stuttgart is comparable to a second week in a Grand Slam tournament.

Angelique Kerber starts with the lucky loser Ekaterine Gorgodze, if she wins she would face Elina Svitolina. Laura Siegemund plays against Mona Barthel. Andrea Petkovic meets Maria Sakkari.

456,073 euros will be handed out in Stuttgart, but the winner will receive the best prize of all: a Porsche . This year the fully electric Taycan Cross Turismo!

Where is the WTA tournament in Stuttgart on TV?

Each individual match is shown in a freely accessible live stream on the tournament website at www.porsche-tennis.com . Eurosport will be there from Monday to Friday from 5 p.m., on Saturday there will be the second semi-final from 6.30 p.m. The SWR broadcasts on Wednesday and Thursday from 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday from 3.30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The DAZN streaming service will broadcast live from Monday at 5 p.m.
