Rafael Nadal opens academy in Kuwait

World number one Rafael Nadal will open an academy in Kuwait in February.

The starting signal for the new academy should fall on 5 February. Rafael Nadal will be present at the opening ceremony to inaugurate the "Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait". Already the Spaniard spoke up: "Personally, I am very happy to open the academy in Kuwait and we are working hard to develop the right programs for the children and to promote the development of tennis in this region."

The location of the academy will be the Shaikh Jaber Al Abdullah Al Jaaber Al Sabah International Tennis Complex. In total, 18 courts will be available to the children and adolescents, and the largest square will accommodate a total of 5,000 people. Over the whole year you can expect more than eleven million visitors.

Already the fourth academy

The head of the academy will be Toni Nadal. The uncle and former coach of the World Ranking List also looks forward to the opening: "We worked so hard that children from all over the world in Mallorca to improve their tennis and life skills." Here in Kuwait we want to do the same with young children and adults . "

The Academy in Kuwait will be the fourth "Rafa Nadal Academy". Previously, Nadal had already opened academies in Mallorca, Cancun (Mexico) and Greece.
