"I would like to teach tennis to young people and I would like to do that within the framework of the Rafa Nadal Foundation," Federer told La Gazetta dello Sport in an interview. He had only words of praise for the Spaniard's Academy left: "If my children want to play tennis one day, I would send them there in any case."

Federer does not think even at the age of 38 years to resign. The Swiss announced a few days ago, in any case, in the coming season to play the French Open, as well as compete in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I've been asked about it for some time, and I have to disappoint everyone: I have not decided yet when to stop," Federer said.

Four years ago, the 20-time Grand Slam winner missed the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro due to a knee injury. After the French Open 2020 Federer wants to open in Halle, Wimbledon, Tokyo, Cincinnati and at the US Open.

"People will say I absolutely must get the gold medal to fill the trophy cabinet," Federer told CNN, referring to his start at the Olympics. "I do not want to take the pressure because I can handle it, but I just want to give myself the best chance to win a medal, to stay healthy and really be in the race for precious metal would be crazy."

Federer has been a pro on the ATP tour since 1998. In 2001, he won his first of 102 tournament wins in Milan, 54 more times in a final. For 310 weeks he was ranked number 1 in the ATP world rankings.
