Roger Federer has returned to the tennis court a month ahead of his planned comeback.

Good news from Roger Federer : The 20-time Grand Slam winner appears to be making progress in his recovery process and is back on the tennis court. On Sunday, the Swiss posted a video on Instagram showing him hitting a few balls.
Federer wants to return at the Laver Cup, which starts on September 23, and also plans to compete at his home event in Basel this year. Further details regarding his tournament schedule for the current and upcoming season are not yet known.
Federer last in action at Wimbledon
Federer played his last match on the tour more than a year ago in Wimbledon, where he lost in three sets to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals. The 41-year-old then had to undergo another knee operation.
Due to his long break, Federer is currently no longer in the world rankings. For this reason, the Swiss will have to rely on his protected ranking and wildcards for his comeback. In view of his CV, however, this circumstance will not become a problem.
