So now Tallahassee too. Where Jenson Brooksby appears at an ATP Challenger tournament this year, extreme caution is required for the competition. The 20-year-old, already on position 166 in the current ATP world rankings, won his third tournament in this category of the current season on Sunday. This time in the final against Björn Frantangelo, once a great hope of the US Tennis Association and junior winner at the French Open.

Brooksby had won the other two titles in Potchefstroom and Orlando, in Clevelnad he was also in the final (and lost to Frantangelo). The only attempt on the ATP tour took place in Miami, where Jenson Brooksby just lost to Thomas Fabbiano in the second round of qualification. Previously, he had defeated Henri Laaksonen in three sets.

Brooksby's soaring comes as a surprise: about a year ago, he was walking around in a cast due to a complicated injury to his toe. In 2019 Brooksby reached the main draw of the US Open, where he won against Tomas Berdych. So the potential is there. Which is also reflected in the Race to Milan, in the annual ranking for the # NextGen Masters. Jenson Brooksby is currently fifth there.
