Srdjan Djokovic: "Novak is already the greatest player of all time"

Novak Djokovic makes little secret of the fact that only one thing counts for him: to immortalize his name in the history books as the best tennis player. And the current world number one is well on the way to do just that. Djokovic recently succeeded in ousting long-term leader Roger Federer from number one in terms of weeks at the top of the world rankings, and the Serb has been leading the ranking of most ATP Masters 1000 titles for a long time.
Only when it comes to Grand Slam victories, Djokovic still lags a bit behind Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer - who lead this ranking with 20 titles each. For Srdjan Djokovic, however, this is no reason to award his offspring the title of best player of all time: "He is already the greatest of all time, in view of the weeks as number one, in view of the ATP Masters 1000 title. He's missing only Olympic gold and the two Grand Slam triumphs that he will celebrate this year, " said father Djokovic to Sportske Novosti.
Djokovic: "Everything in tennis depends on him"
For the Serb there is no question: "He is the best and everything in the world of tennis depends on him. He can lose, but not because his opponent is better than him, but because he allows him to defeat him", the Spanish tennis portal Punto de Break translated the statements of Srdjan Djokovic. He is more than satisfied with the performance of his son: "Four or five years ago he made all my wishes for his tennis career come true," said Srdjan Djokovic.
How long this career would last, according to father Djokovic, depends entirely on how long it will take his son to set the other records: "He will not leave tennis yet, his career will last one to one and a half, at most three years, until all records are in his possession, "explained the Serb. Now you have to look for new benchmarks for his son, Srdjan refers in this connection to the statement of a journalist who compared the industry leader with sports legends such as Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.
"Above all, he's a good man"

But his son also excels off the pitch, as the Serb emphasized: "His entire career has shown with his attitudes that he is a good man, a good boy above all else.
