Stan Wawrinka has another operation on his left foot

For Stan Wawrinka things are still not going well this year: After a disappointing start to the season, the 36-year-old had a "minor surgery" on his left foot at the end of March, and now the three-time Grand Slam winner had to go under the knife again. The reason for this are persistent problems in the left foot.
"Same place, different day. That's not where I want to be, but I still have a smile on my face," wrote Wawrinka, who had canceled his participation in the lawn classic at Wimbledon a few weeks ago, on Twitter.
The Swiss player played his last match to date on March 9 at the ATP 250 tournament in Doha, where he lost to Lloyd Harris in three sets. When Wawrinka will return to the ATP tour is currently unclear.
