Matteo Berrettini is the third top 10 man of Thiem`s 7

With Gael Monfils, Dominic Thiem has already won a very charismatic top player for his Thiem`s 7 in Kitzbühel, now the next coup follows with the Italian Matteo Berrettini: The number eight in the world is the third top 10 man by July 7th to 11th in Kitzbühel. In addition to the Italian whiz who played the best season of his career last year and was among other things in the semi-finals of the US Open, Austria's tennis star was also able to win two sounding names from Russia for his tournament in Kitzbühel.

Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov

Andrey Rublev, in particular, was strong in 2020 with two titles at the start of the season. These catapulted the 22-year-old to 14th place in the world rankings. Karen Khachanov played his best ever season with his first major title at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Paris in 2018 when he eliminated Djokovic, Zverev, Isner and Thiem. In 2020, the former top 10 man from Moscow fell short of his expectations, but his class flashed once more when he challenged Nick Kyrgios at the Australian Open in a marathon match over four and a half hours and four tie breaks.

Borna Coric and Dennis Novak

As the sixth man in the field, Borna Coric will serve in the field of Thiem`s 7. The Croatian tennis star is currently number 33 in the world rankings, but was already number twelve in the world in 2018.

With Dennis Novak, another red-white-red starter will be part of Dominic Thiem's line-up. This leaves only one place in the field of Thiem`s 7 open. Wolfgang and Dominic Thiem, together with the Kitzbühel organizers, around Markus Bodner, Herbert Günther and Florian Zinnagl, will announce this name in the next week. The total prize money is 300,000 euros, 100,000 euros are waiting for the winner of the tournament.
