Of course, everything revolves around the Australian Open : The tournament is expected to start on February 8, 2021 (until February 21). The Australian Tennis Association is planning accordingly, but the final approval from the state of Victoria is still pending. /

Based on the Australian Open, which will take place in this way, the ATP Tour will host the following tournaments, as reported by tennismajors.com (and advertised via Twitter as confirmed by the ATP):

Which tournaments are canceled - and what about Indian Wells?

On the other hand, this means: The actually first Masters tournament in Indian Wells (actually planned from March 11 to 23) will probably be canceled - the risk due to the number of corona infections in the area is too high. It also seems possible to move to autumn.

Auckland (actually January 11th to 17th) is also canceled, as are Pune (February 1st to 7th), New York (February 8th to 14th) and Rio de Janeiro (February 15th to 21st).

Will the Miami Open take place?

The Miami Open are planned for March 22nd to April 4th and could take place as things stand. They would then be the first Masters tournament of the new season.

Why is there no tournament planned from January 14th to 31st?

Before the Australian Open, the players should complete a two-week quarantine after their arrival in Melbourne from January 15.

What about at the WTA level?

Steve Simon has confirmed 55 tournaments, it is said - a plan has not yet been published. However, it should start on January 4, 2021, and there is speculation about a start in Abu Dhabi.
