Matteo Berrettini also had reason to celebrate in Nice

On Saturday in the drizzle of Kitzbühel, on Sunday near Nice when the sun is shining and on hard court: Matteo Berrettini is probably the hardest working salesman when it comes to tennis. But while the Italian still had to defeat Andrey Rublev at Thiem's 7 in the semi-finals, Berrettini went off the court at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown Richard Gasquet.

Against Tsitsipas, who trains at the Mouratoglou Academy and thus has something of a home advantage, Berrettini won the first two quarters and also led 4-0 in the third. The Greek made the comeback, but had no chance against his opponent's final forehand winner. "I think a couple of my family members died after a heart attack," joked the winner after the invitation tournament ended, which had dragged on for five weekends.

For Berrettini, tomorrow will continue tomorrow. Then the Italian will step into the bett1Aces on the lawn in the Steffi Graf Stadium. There he meets the winner of the game between Jan-Lennard Struff and Roberto Bautista Agut.
