Alexander Zverev is still looking for his form. The native of Hamburg made no secret of this after his opening defeat against the Czech Jiri Lehecka at the United Cup. For the German it was the first match after an injury break of several months since the serious foot injury that Zverev suffered in the French Open semifinals against Rafael Nadal.
In the second individual at the newly created mixed team event, Zverev is now up against the American Taylor Fritz, who is ninth in the world rankings and is the clear favorite against Zverev. In the head-to-head, however, the German has the edge with four wins to two. Most recently, Zverev triumphed at the ATP Cup almost exactly a year ago.
