If Novak Djokovic opens the door to a surprise a little, then you would have to go through with Verve. If you do not do this, you will feel the entire furor of the world number one. Juan Ignacio Londero had to experience this on Wednesday in the first game of the night session at Arthur Ashe Stadium. After losing the first set in round two, the Argentine led 3-0 with double break. Djokovic shook briefly - and won five games in a row. Surprisingly, the industry leader gave his serve again, but also got the second set, then in the tie-break.

The physiotherapist had already made several visits to Djokovic's bench, however, and the left shoulder needed permanent treatment. Which did not affect the Belgrade footwork any further. As usual, Djokovic flew across the court, played sensational balls on the defensive, forced Londero to take too many risks too often.

After losing set two, the fighting spirit of the 26-year-old Argentine was broken, Djokovic pulled mercilessly up to 6: 1. The 16-time major winner does not yet know his opponent in round three - he will only be determined on Thursday between Dusan Lajovic and Denis Kudla. Djokovic initially congratulated his opponent in the post-match interview - and then made the comeback in the second set as the reason for his success. The shoulder injury naturally disturbed him on the serve and backhand, but he was lucky in the important moments, but also found the right solutions.
