Like Ons Jabeur, Iga Swiatek is in the final of the US Open 2022

Ons Jabeur and Iga Swiatek duel for the title at the US Open: The 28-year-old Tunisian Jabeur set an enormous pace in her semifinals on Thursday and was already celebrating her 6-1, 6-3 win after just 65 minutes the French Caroline Garcia without a chance. World number one Iga Swiatek (21) had to fight a lot harder against Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, but ultimately won 3: 6, 6: 1, 6: 4.

While Jabeur has the chance to win her first Grand Slam in the title match on Saturday (10 p.m. CEST / Eurosport), Swiatek is reaching for her third major title. "After Wimbledon I felt a lot of pressure," said Jabeur, who was in the final of the classic lawn game two months ago: "I'm very relieved that I was able to confirm my performance. The hardcourt season didn't start so well for me, Now I'm happy to be in the final again."

Swiatek triumphed for the second time at the French Open in June and is now hoping for her first big coup on the hard court. It's her first final in New York. "It will definitely be a very physical match," said Swiatek about the upcoming game against Jabeur: "But for now I'm happy about reaching the final."

Here the single tableau from New York.
