"Struffi" is in the shape of his life - and is currently higher than ever with 29th place in the ATP ranking. Also thanks to his strong performance at the Western & Southern Open the previous week, where he took three strong people out of the competition - Alex de Minaur, Denis Shapovalov and David Goffin - before Novak Djokovic was over. Time to take revenge? Should Struff win today, the duel against Djokovic would be on again ...
In round 1 in Flushing Meadows, Struff had quite relaxed work, 6: 0, 7: 5, 6: 4 it was against Pedro Martinez here.
So today it's up to Michael Mmoh, with whom you would have made a lot of bucks on the good old wheel of fortune with an "M for Martha". Or at least could have solved it quickly.
