US Open: Kokkinakis withdraws - Nadal without a fight in round three
Rafael Nadal entered the third round of the 2019 US Open without a fight. The Spaniard benefited from the withdrawal of the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Kokkinakis has been struggling with injuries over the past few years. The Australian had come into the main field with a wildcard and had prevailed against Ilya Ivashka in round one.
Nadal, in turn, had defeated John Millman at the start and will face the winner of the match between Fernando Verdasco and Hyeon Chung on Saturday. For the night session on Thursday, the match between Marin Cilic and Cedric-Marcel Stebe was placed on the center court.
