A double fault was the last point Novak Djokovic played at the 2019 US Open. The defending champion then signaled the chair referee and his opponent Stan Wawrinka that he could not continue playing. Stan Wawrinka will meet Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. The Russian had prevailed against Dominik Köpfer in four sentences. The second quarter-finals in the upper half of the tableau are contested by Roger Federer after a straight victory against David Goffin and Grigor Dimitrov, who also only needed three sets against Alex de Minaur.
