WTA Adelaide: Ashleigh Barty takes first home win
Ashleigh Barty has won a WTA tournament in Australia for the first time. The world number one defeated Yana Trememska 6: 2 and 7: 5 in the final of Adelaide Dayana and is now going to the Australian Open with a lot of confidence.

There had been a lot of evidence that Ashleigh Barty would have a smooth victory in the final. After winning the first set, the 2019 French Open winner also started with a break in round two. Dayana Yastremska, who has been coached by Sascha Bajin since the end of last season, won three games in a row and kept the match open until 5: 5.
