With the men, at least one thing is clear: Novak Djokovic announced a long time ago that he had no intentions to be vaccinated against the corona virus. Andrey Rublev shared this opinion these days in Miami. Diego Schwartzman has a positive view of a vaccination.

In any case, Simona Halep is already behind her, as she showed the world a few days ago. Naomi Osaka is planning something similar ("when it's my turn"). Elina Svitolina and Aryna Sabalenka see themselves on the more cautious side and want to wait and see.

But what about the general vaccination policy of the ATP and the WTA? The American journalist Ben Rothenberg asked. And received very similar responses. On the part of the women's tour it is said that the WTA believes in the vaccination and encourages all players to get vaccinated. The female professionals should get help and be adequately informed. But: The WTA will not require any player to be vaccinated. This is a personal decision.

The ATP also recommends vaccination. Notes, however, that first of all population groups should receive protection who need it more urgently than the tennis professionals. They are working on developing a plan with other sports leagues that will enable them to work successfully as a global sport.
