Wimbledon semi-finalist Tatjana Maria and qualifier Laura Siegemund have reached the second round of the WTA tournament in Madrid. After Maria had no problems at all against Alexandra Eala, Laura Siegemund also bought her ticket for the second round.
Siegemund meets the Croatian Petra Martic, seeded at number 27. Jule Niemeier had already cleared her opening hurdle on Tuesday.
