WTA Mallorca: Possible second round duel between Kerber and Sharapova - Rafael Nadal is also honored

The top seeded Angelique Kerber faces a qualifier in the first round. After that, it could go against Maria Sharpaova for the German.
The Russian, who is equipped with a wildcard, first meets Viktoria Kuzmova. Sharapova will play her first match in Mallorca since the end of January.
Both Sharapova and Kerber will start their first round game on Tuesday. "Super Tuesday with these top names is the strongest day we have had at the Mallorca Open so far," explains tournament organizer Edwin Weindorfer.
Nadal is preparing for Wimbledon
With Victoria Azarenka, alongside Sharapova and Kerber, a third former world number one will open on the Spanish island. The Belarusian opens against Caroline Garcia. In addition to Gracia, Anastasija Sevastova is another winner of the past few years.
