Julia Grabher (WTA No. 94) is a lucky loser in the main draw of the Miami Open.

Grabher benefits from the cancellation of world number one Iga Swiatek due to injury .
Because the Miami Open was actually over for Grabher - the 26-year-old was eliminated in the second (and final) qualifying round. Now she is moving into the main draw as a "lucky loser".
And not only that: Grabher is already in round 2 thanks to the bye he took over from Swiatek. Opponent there: local hero Claire Liu.
In Miami Grabher is at the start for the first time.
