WTA Rome: Back problems - Raducanu has to retire

There was a lot of anticipation ahead of the duel between Emma Raducanu and Bianca Andreescu. The reason for this was clear: two players who have experienced similar things met here. Both unexpectedly won the US Open. Andreescu was very happy for Raducanu when she created the sensation.
Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be an exciting match, because the young Brit apparently had problems with her back. She didn't look free, had to accept 25 winners from Andreescu to throw in the towel after a good hour. At this point it was 2:6 and 1:2 from their point of view.
Bianca Andreescu, who made her comeback in Stuttgart and lost to Jessica Pegula in the round of 16 in Madrid, will meet Sara Sorribes Tormo in the next round. And as for Raducanu. it is difficult to predict Roland Garros.
