Andrea Petkovic's start at the Australian Open is anything but assured. The German is still suffering from a knee injury and had to interrupt their preparation for the upcoming season. The knee had already forced Petkovic to the task at the WTA tournament in Luxembourg.
This message sent the 32-year-old via Instagram in the world. "I am not sure if I will make it to the Australian Open," said the Darmstadt on Monday.
Nothing to defend
The Australian Open will be held in Melbourne next year from the 20th of January to the 2nd of February, 2020.
Last year Petkovic failed in the first Grand Slam tournament of the year right to the start. The Germans had to give up against the Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu due to circulatory problems.
