Angelique Kerber from the role: First round in Ostrau
Germany's best tennis player Angelique Kerber was eliminated in the first round of the WTA tournament in Ostrau / Czech Republic.

The 33-year-old lost to Swiss Jil Teichmann 2: 6, 3: 6 on Tuesday evening. For Kerber it was the first appearance after her round of 16 against the later finalist Leylah Fernandez (Canada) at the US Open .
The three-time Grand Slam winner, who had never played against Teichmann before, got into the match badly and was quickly down 5-0 in the first set against the 42nd in the world rankings. There was no rising up in the second movement either. The underdog converted her first match point after 72 minutes.
The next important tournament for Kerber is at the beginning of October when the Kiel player serves in Indian Wells (USA).
