Zverev thus reached the 16th final of his career, winning 10 times so far.
The German was not entirely satisfied with his game against Norrie, number 64 in the world. Zverev broke right after the start of the game, but he got 5: 5 when serving. At the end of set one he then put on - and in the meantime made 24 out of 30 points, which earned him the set win and a 3-0 lead, which he finally converted into victory.
Zverev remains in the fourth match of the tournament without losing a set.
Even in doubles with brother Mischa, things are still going well for Sascha: After the quarter-final coup against the Bryan Brothers, "Team Zverev" now won against Feliciano and Marc Lopez with 7: 6 (1), 6: 4. The final is against Austin Krajicek and Artem Sitak.
Kyrgios beats Isner
Nick Kyrgios won the second single semi-final of the $ 1.9 million tournament in Mexico. In his third three-set fight this week, he beat John Isner 7-5, 5-7 and 7-6 (7), making the final against Zverev clear.
The Australian even managed to hit one more ace against serve king Isner (25:24), with the total winners, both players were tied with 50 each.
Kyrgios had won in the round of 16 against Rafael Nadal after defending three match balls - and caused trouble at the top-ranked world rankings, which accused Kyrgios of lacking respect . In the quarterfinals, Kyrgios won against Stan Wawrinka.
