Koepfer won the final 2: 6, 6: 4 and 6: 2 over Thiago Agustin Tirante and thus won his third title at ATP Challenger level. He had previously won at Ilkley in 2019 and at Calgary in late 2022.

Important: In addition to a winning sombrero for the hat rack, Koepfer also collected important 120 points for the world rankings, which will catapult him back into the top 200 - in the live ranking he is currently 180th.

In 2021, the now 28-year-old was ranked 50th in the world, but was then disabled by a stress fracture in his upper arm . Since then he has been fighting for the connection.

In Mexico, Koepfer only had to fight his way into the main draw after qualifying.
