ATP Estoril: Thiem with victory against Shelton in the quarterfinals
Dominic Thiem has reached the quarterfinals of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Estoril. The Austrian defeated Ben Shelton from the USA 6-2 and 6-2.

The start of the match against Ben Shelton went wrong for Dominic Thiem for a short time - after the early 0: 2, the Austrian really turned on and won six games in a row. Also favored by the extremely risky game of the 20-year-old American, who made too many mistakes.
In the second act, Thiem managed the quick break to make it 2: 1, Shelton no longer gave the impression that he still believed in a comeback. A double fault then put the lid on it for a double break to make it 4:1. Dominic Thiem couldn't take that anymore.
