ATP Madrid: Andy Murray also beats Shapovalov and fixes classic against Djokovic!

Andy Murray (ATP No. 78) continues to be in strong form at the Masters tournament in Madrid. Now he meets Novak Djokovic.

Murray beat Denis Shapovalov 6: 1, 3: 6 and 6: 2 in round 2 of the ATP 1000 event and presented himself in good sand form. The Scot had actually considered skipping the spring tour on red ashes. /

In round 1 Murray had won against Dominic Thiem.

The reward now: a duel against Novak Djokovic, number 1 in the world. Djokovic also celebrated an opening win against Gael Monfils on Tuesday, earning his 18th win in the 18th match against the Frenchman.

Murray: "Shouldn't stand a chance"

"He's number 1 in the world and I have a metal hip, so I shouldn't have a chance," Murray looked at the 38th duel between the two in the on-court interview . "It's a great way for me to see where my game is."
