Alexander Zverev has just updated his "Big Four" balance against Andy Murray and now has at least one win against all four all-time greats.
Against Gael Monfils he now wants to achieve a novelty, also celebrate the first victory. So far it has been a direct comparison of the two 3-0 for the French, but all games also took place in 2015 and 2016, before the German's big breakthrough.
Monfils? A few months ago it would have been a sure-fire success, after the corona break, the former world number sixth didn't even get going, including a series of eight defeats. With a win in Lyon, it stuttered back on the road to success, most recently Monfils had at least a third round at the US Open, a semi-final in Metz and a final in Sofia. In Indian Wells, he did not give a set in his matches against Gianluca Mager and Kevin Anderson.
