ATP Rome: Stefanos Tsitsipas defeats ailing Sinner - now it's back to Zverev

The first set was heavily disputed: it lasted 89 minutes alone, even if Tsitsipas was already clearly 3-0 in the lead.

In the end, the South Tyrolean got another break chance at 5: 2 for Tsitsipas, but the Greek parried with his tenth ace. A break of more than ten minutes then followed due to a medical emergency in the audience area, in the oppressive heat in the Foro Italico on Friday afternoon, at the second match point for Tsitsipas.
He made his victory and his entry into the semifinals clear afterwards.
In the end, Tsitsipas had 33 winners with only 18 mistakes without need, Sinner also had 28 winning strokes and 24 unforced errors (16 of them with the forehand).
