Bitter news for all tennis fans: Andy Murray will not participate in the Australian Open. The Scotsman is suffering from a pelvic injury and will therefore not be able to start in Melbourne.

The Scot originally wanted to make his grand slam comeback in Australia. In the previous year, the former world leader in Melbourne had even put a possible career end in the room, but after a sensational return on the tour, Murray also wanted to attack at the major level again in 2020.

Murray: Comeback in Montpellier?

Nothing will come of it for the time being: The 32-year-old is still struggling with the same pelvic injury as at the Davis Cup in Madrid. Because of this, he had also canceled his training block in Miami .

In the afternoon there were rumors that the Brit could not take part in the ATP Cup - of course nothing will come of that either. Murray now wants to make his comeback at the ATP 250 tournament in Montpellier.
