Davis Cup: Jannik Sinner has to cancel participation
Jannik Sinner cannot take part in the Davis Cup final round in Malaga due to a finger injury.

Bitter news for the Italian Davis Cup team: As Jannik Sinner announced at the weekend, he will not be available to Filippo Volandri's team for the final round in Malaga. The 21-year-old is still suffering from a finger injury he suffered at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Paris-Bercy.
"Unfortunately, this injury hasn't healed, so I can't be at the Davis Cup. It was a very difficult decision for me," Sinner wrote on Twitter. The Italian team will be without the best player in the country in Andalusia's second largest city.
Unfortunate season for Sinner
The 2022 season is now over for Sinner. The world number 15. was not really lucky in this one, as he had to miss numerous tournaments due to injury . The cancellation of the Davis Cup finals now fits seamlessly into the extremely unfortunate course of the season.
In Malaga Matteo Berrettini will be the number one of the Italian team. The 26-year-old also had to deal with an injury recently, with problems on his foot. The selection is supplemented by Lorenzo Musetti, Fabio Fognini, Simone Bolleli and the nominated Lorenzo Sonego. Italy will meet USA in the quarter-finals on November 24th.
