The third semi-finalist of this year's Erste Bank Open in Vienna is called Borna Coric: The 25-year-old Croatian prevailed in a great quarter-final against Hubert Hurkacz 6: 4, 6: 7 (2) and 7: 6 (5) and placed in the direct comparison with Poland is 2:1.

Hurkacz and Coric offered the 9,500 spectators in the sold-out Wiener Stadthalle a great spectacle and provided numerous highlights. Among other things, the world number eleven from Poland was successful in the second set with a half-volley tweener. Ultimately, however, the Croatian - like the day before against Stefanos Tsitsipas - prevailed in the tie-break of the third set.

Coric meets the winner of the game between Denis Shapovalov and Dan Evans in the semifinals. The first semifinal will be contested by Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov .
