Philipp Kohlschreiber did not make it, Jan-Lennard Struff, on the other hand, followed Alexander Zverev into the round of 16 of the French Open 2021 on Saturday. Struff left the 17-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz no chance at 6: 4, 7: 6 (3) and 6: 2, and in the round of the last 16 he met Kohlschreiber-defeated Diego Schwartzman. With Dominik Koepfer, who will play the night session against Roger Federer on the Court Philippe-Chatrier from 9 p.m., another German has the chance to make it to the round of 16. Zverev had presented against Laslo Djere, will meet Kei Nishikori tomorrow, Sunday.

Struff had caused a surprise in the first round with his five-set win against Andrey Rublev, in the match against Alcaraz he lived up to his role as favorite as he had before against Facundo Bagnis. Even if Alcaraz, at the score of 1: 5 in the third act, gave a final re-break. Struff did not let that disturb him. And finally got the serve of the Spanish teenager again.
