Someone should say again that the women's tournament at the French Open 2022 is absolutely unpredictable. After all, the high favorite Iga Swiatek, who is in first place, is still in the tableau. In men's doubles, on the other hand, this is no longer the case. Because on Tuesday Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury had to admit defeat to the Croatian Ivan Dodig and his American partner in a dramatic way and after missed match points.

Dodig/Krajicek won 3:7, 7:6 (9) and 7:6 (10) and thus advanced to the semi-finals. There they meet Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. According to the seeding list, the two went into the encounter with Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski as favorites. However, the results of the season so far suggested a win for Koolhof/Skupski. Granollers/Zeballos won 3:6, 6:3 and 6:4.

Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic had already had to say goodbye earlier in the tournament. And Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies, unbeaten together at the Stade Roland Garros up to this year, were eliminated in round one.
