"Of course I would accept it," said Bosch in the RTL interview about the case that Becker would take a step on him.

"I also asked myself the question, if something like that happened, what would you say," said the 84-year-old: "Would he come back to Günzi from Bosch (...) as it was back then? yes really hurt. " In 1985, Bosch sensationally led the then 17-year-old Becker to triumph at Wimbledon, and a year later he successfully defended his title. In 1987 they parted ways.

"You can never lock it because it was something special, and I have to admit very slowly that there won't be a second Boris," said Bosch: "And what he did at 17, no longer anyway."

The German-Romanian named the reason for the rift and separation from Becker, "that the love for a girl from Monte Carlo was also involved". The girlfriend at the time often gave Becker the choice: "Günzi or me," said Bosch: "And that's when he decided on her." The German tennis hero "stayed at his point of view and I stayed at mine, and so we broke up."

The relationship between Bosch and Becker was also part of the RTL program in the film "Der Rebell - Von Leimen nach Wimbledon" on Thursday evening.
