Italy allows spectators at the Masters in Rome

The Italian government wants to allow spectators to attend the Tennis Masters in Rome (May 9th to 16th).

As stated in an ordinance by the State Secretary for Sports, Valentina Vezzali, on Tuesday, up to 25 percent of the seats should be able to be occupied from the round of 16. However, the spectators must wear a face mask and observe the rules of distance. According to media reports, the Italian government wants to release up to 20 percent of the seats in the stadiums for the last Serie A soccer game.

Spectators are also allowed at the current Masters tournament in Madrid, at the French Open (from May 30th) up to 5,000 are to be allowed into the stadiums from the quarter-finals.
