Jack Sock wrote some sort of tennis history in 2019, albeit more in negative territory: Two years ago, the US American celebrated his best world ranking finish with last minute qualifying for the ATP finals and reaching the semi-finals 8) - at the end of this season socks Sock no longer in the ranking.

In 2018, he did not appear to be physically fit (but played big in the doubles), in 2019 he was struggling with an injury to his thumb - and did not get a single ATP point in the individual. His greatest success: a victory over Fabio Fognini at the (pointless) Laver Cup.

However, it seems to be going better privately for the 27-year-old: As Sock announced on Wednesday via Instagram, he has become engaged to the professional dancer Laura Little, who also works as a model and Miss North Carolina.

A tennis player marriage is not so, it had long seemed as if Sock in the series to Andre Agassi and Steffi count or Roger Federer and Mirka Vavrinec rank: Before his relationship with Little he was a long time with Sloane Stephens and subsequently dating Katie Boulter.

Sock also produced a video of his application. "You make me the happiest man in the world, I feel so loved every day," wrote Sock. Congratulations!
