It is no secret that the tennis academy in the city of Villena, directed by Juan Carlos Ferrero, is one of the most recognized in the world. In addition to the promising youngsters who are trained every day at the facility, Pablo Carreño-Busta and the very young Carlos Alcaraz have established themselves on the tour. Now Ferrero wants to work with Daniel Sanyo Gutierrez   also bet on a booming sport in Europe: padel.

When he talks about this new expansion project for the Equelite Academy, Ferrero says excitedly: "I can't think of a better way than the one with Sanyo and his trainer Claudio." The idea is - if the local authorities allow it - to build in Villena or to look for a new location in the medium term. The expansion provides for the construction of new tennis and padel courts, some of them with the official surface of the World Padel Tour, in order to facilitate daily training for professional players like Sanyo himself.

"Will get a great result"

The Padel's number one in 2018 and current number two Sanyo Gutierrez   describes the project as a great opportunity "to place the padel courts next to a world-famous academy with spectacular facilities". Sanyo Gutierrez emphasizes that the most important thing for him is to share the work philosophy with the Academy and his technical team, led by Claudio Girarldoni: "I am sure that if we keep it we will achieve a great result ".

Two world number firsts in their respective racket sports and their two coaches, Antonio Martinez Cascales and Claudio Giraldoni, in luxurious facilities to train the next generations not only in tennis but also in padel: an exciting project that starts in September and is facing the next school year will be intensified.

Train like Pablo Carreño Busta

But not only students can enjoy the expertise of the former number one: In the JC Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy , under the direction of Juan Carlos Ferrero and Antonio Martínez Cascales, every tennis player of different ages and levels gets their money's worth. The focus is on the competition program. Due to the personalized training, the academy has a limited number of places. The annual competition program is designed to get the maximum potential of the player out. School supervision is possible here in parallel. In groups of no more than two people per seat, the players learn here all year round with a head coach. The world-renowned couches have many years of experience.

The preseason is a very important time for any player who wants to become a professional as they can focus on making great improvements on all levels: technical, tactical, physical, mental. The players train an average of 35 hours a week and the training schedule is the same as that of Pablo Carreño Busta or Carlos Alcaraz.
