The tennisathome challenges are still very popular - and there are only a few limits to your imagination. The unofficial winner so far should have been Roger Federer, who not only showed a good sense of appearance (with a hat!), But also a stable wrist in play. His ball wall challenge only looks simple at first glance - at second even professionals find it difficult to keep up with the Maestro.
Australian Open finalist Sofia Kenin was one of the better, Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, had to correct and improvise many times, Fabio Fognini did it in the most relaxed manner, Nicolas Kiefer showed his still fine hand and a UCLA coach, on the other hand, lifted the whole thing again to a new level.
Murray: 100 volleys, please!
While the rest of the tennis world is still practicing (or looking for the right hat), Andy Murray has launched a new challenge: the 100 Volleys Partner Challenge. The term speaks for itself: We are looking for tennis couples who pass the ball 100 times using volleyball. The Murrays presented, both of course without problems - wife Kim is no stranger to the ball, Papa Nigel Sears acted as one of the most respected coaches, among other things, he had once looked after Daniela Hantuchova and Ana Ivanovic.
Where are Roger and Mirka Federer?
Murray's call naturally brought two famous tennis families to the attention of the fans: Novak and Jelena Djokovic and, of course, Roger and Mirka Federer.
The Djokovics have now followed suit, successfully of course; however, the Federers are still waiting. Respectively will probably stay away. Is it the fear of embarrassment? No, no, as well - Mirka (then Vavrinec) was a top 100 player herself before a foot injury ended her career. But, Federer says via Twitter: Mirka is "social media shy" ...
So we have hope that the next tennis couples will follow suit: as if there were, for example, the Stepanek-Vaidisova family, Fognini-Pennetta or, oh-so-beautiful: the Agassi / Graf couple.
